Box is one of the highlights of the Dragons season and this year we were able to secure rink space sooner than in the past. That means we can announce practice details now and get registration started.

There has been a lot of buzz around box this year and we anticipate strong demand. Youth teams will be limited to 15 players each, so we are expecting all rosters to fill up quickly.

• Monday, September 4 – no practice (Labor Day)
• Wednesday, September 6 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Monday, September 11- 5pm to 6:30pm
• Wednesday, September 13 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Monday, September 18 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Wednesday, September 20 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Monday, September 25 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Wednesday, September 27 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Monday, October 2 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Wednesday, October 4 – 5pm to 6:30pm
• Monday, October 9 – no practice (Columbus Day)

Practice Location: Mar Vista Rec Center – Roller Hockey Rink – Corner of Palms and Sawtelle across from Windward School

Game Schedule: The leagues usually post the game schedule in mid-August. For planning purposes, you can expect high school games to be on Saturday and youth games to be on Sunday. Here are the HIGH SCHOOL game weekends provided to us by the league:

• Week 1: Sept 9/10
• Week 2: Sept 16/17
• Week 3: Sept 23/24
• Week 4: Sep 30/Oct 1
• Week 5: Oct 7/8
• Week 6: Oct 14/15
• Week 7: Oct 21/22 Playoffs (Top 4 teams make playoffs)

Cost & Registration: Box is our most expensive season of the year. Costs for rink rentals are very high (and keep going up) and league fees are much higher than field seasons. For the last 3 seasons we have held costs the same but unfortunately we just cannot do it anymore. We are offering a payment plan via TeamSnap. If you have questions about the costs, do not hesitate to reach out. Even with the price increase, the cost comes out to about $20 an hour, so it is a very good value for money.

Please remember that we are limiting youth teams to 15 players and we do expect some to fill up rather quickly.

WE ARE RUNNING AN EARLY BIRD SPECIAL FROM JUNE 12 TO JUNE 17. WE ARE OFFERING A 15% DISCOUNT, WHICH IS $95. ON JUNE 17TH THE FEE GOES UP TO ITS NORMAL PRICE.
