We’re starting the week FIRED UP for one of our players! This fall, Serena Dillon (2021) will be attending @imgacademy for the remainder of her high school career! We are so proud of Serena as she takes this new adventure to pursue her passions on and off the field.
Serena has been apart of the Fire community from the beginning and has been an excellent representation of what the Fire Lacrosse culture is all about. Her constant positive energy and excitement for the game have influenced the girls she plays with—as you can see! The support of her teammates is relentless, and in fact is often celebrating goals the loudest all the way from the defensive end. Serena is a competitor at heart and a work horse no matter the drill or situation, and anyone going against her one on one can attest to that.
As you can see, Serena brings so much more than her lacrosse skills to every team she plays on. The small things she does has caused Serena to be remembered by so many coaches including at the highest levels of the game. One thing specifically that always stuck out to our staff is that It doesn’t matter how long she’s been on the field, she will always be the last one to wait, help out, and ask the coaches if there are more balls or cones to be picked up or cages put away while most kids pack up as fast as they can trying to get to the next activity.
There is no doubt in our minds great things are on the horizon for this young lady! Congrats Serena! We can’t wait to see you back on our fields soon!
