We are excited to get our 7th box season under way! The last week has been a bit hectic as people are returning to town, starting school and consequently registrations are still coming in. We also had to finalize some paperwork with our two rinks before we could get out practice info. Thank you all for your patience as we get the season dialed in.
Below is the Mar Vista practice schedule:
9th to 12th Grade Players
Monday 5pm to 7pm
Specific Dates: 8/26, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28
3rd to 6th Grade Players
Wednesday 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Specific Dates: 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
7th & 8th Grade Players
Wednesday 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Specific Dates: 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
Additional information that is coming later this week:
Rosters & Teams: We will make teams by Friday and transfer all players from the registration into specific teams. We still have to wait for final registrations because they may affect rosters.
Coaching Assignments: Once we have the rosters we can finalize coaching assignments since the final team count can have an impact on this. Our core coaching staff will be the same excellent group of guys we had as last year: Erik Krum, Riley Lasda, Eli Lasda, Max Mercier, Mike Kutzer, Andrew Buss and James Burton.
Game Schedules: The schedule is usually posted 7-10 days prior to the first game weekend and we will pass it along as soon as we have it.
Team Pages & App: Once the teams are finalized, communications will start to go through the Teamsnap system. You will receive e-mails with info updates as well as practice and game notifications. Teamsnap also has a good app that makes it easy to communicate on game day for last minute stuff.
Calabasas Practice Info: This is a time slot for 3rd to 8th grade players and is scheduled for 5pm to 6:30pm with a 9/5 start date. We are finalizing the specific dates and will have more info ASAP.
